Construction dust is not ordinary dust. Drywall dust hangs in the air for hours, settles into every surface, seam and fabric in a home, and comes back twice more after the first clean. This is a specialist multi-pass service using HEPA filtration, with the right products for paint flecks, adhesive residue, grout haze and joint-compound film — and it's scoped for whole houses as readily as for single apartments.

Western Queens renovates constantly, and the most common project we clean after is a unit inside an owner-occupied house: a rental floor gutted and rebuilt between tenancies, a basement converted into proper living space, or a kitchen and bathroom brought forward forty years. Those jobs have a particular hazard that a standalone apartment renovation doesn't — the rest of the building is occupied throughout. Drywall dust travels through stairwells and shared hallways, and by the time the contractor finishes, the owner's floors two levels up are dusty too. We plan for that: sealing and cleaning the circulation route, and quoting the affected common areas alongside the renovated unit rather than leaving you to discover the problem afterwards.

The method is what makes it hold. The first pass removes bulk debris and heavy dust with HEPA-filtered equipment, strictly top-down — ceilings, high ledges, light fixtures, then walls, then surfaces, then floors. The second pass, once airborne dust has settled, collects everything that fell during the first. A third detail pass handles the rest: paint flecks scraped from glass and hardware, adhesive and label residue removed from new appliances, grout haze polished from new tile, joint-compound film wiped from window frames and tracks, and inside every new cabinet before anything goes into it. Vents and tracks get particular attention, since dust that settles there keeps recirculating for months.

We coordinate directly with contractors and can come in after the punch list or between trades if you need the space usable partway through. For Long Island City and Hunters Point apartments we handle the building's certificate of insurance, contractor clearance and elevator reservation as well. Pricing is flat and quoted once we understand the scope — a bathroom refit and a gut-renovated rental floor are entirely different jobs — and where you're turning the unit over to a new tenant we'll quote the post-construction clean and the move-in clean together.
